We initially learned of McAllister through seminars they presented at Society of Research Administrators (SRA) conferences. Whereas other companies offer similar information, they often do so mainly to promote their own consulting services, sometimes only giving out partial information and then charging for detailed specifics. McAllister provided complete information on the topics discussed for the purpose of educating the public in the relevant issues, and it was only upon questioning that they revealed their consultation services. When we asked for a consultation, McAllister traveled to our site, donating their time to meet with focus groups to gain an understanding of our research processes and to perform an initial analysis of our needs.
